A flammable, syrupy solution of pyroxylin (“gun cotton”) in ether and alcohol used in theatrical make-up to simulate various effects such as wrinkles (old age) or scars. When applied to the skin, it shrinks as the solvent evaporates. Easy to remove once dry with no specific cleanser required.
